Joe Netikosol is an intellectual property attorney with more than a decade of experience representing clients in high-stakes patent and trade secret disputes. Throughout his career, he has helped defend technology companies and protect their innovations.  Joe’s practice centers on complex IP litigation, post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and strategic IP counseling for technology-driven companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Joe built his IP practice at a major firm in Los Angeles, where he handled all phases of patent litigation in federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has guided clients from early case strategy to trial preparation, always with a focus on practical outcomes and long-term business impact.

Joe’s technical experience spans matters involving artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer networking and design, software, multimedia, medical devices, image processing, semiconductors, and other advanced technologies. With in-depth understanding of these technologies, he translates complicated concepts into clear, persuasive arguments.

Beyond the courtroom, Joe provides strategic intellectual property counseling, including patent portfolio development, freedom to operate analyses, and IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions. He also advises on licensing negotiations, and trademark and copyright registration.

  • Helped secure victories for numerous clients in IP disputes, including in early dismissal under 35 U.S.C. 101, as well as in summary judgment of non-infringement and no damages.
