Stu Spodek is a seasoned healthcare attorney with nearly two decades of experience, the majority spent exclusively representing healthcare providers.

Stu regularly advises clients on a wide range of matters, including operational, compliance/regulatory, licensure, Revenue Cycle Management, transactional, and litigation. 

Prior to joining Bochner, Stu served as General Counsel  for an Illinois laboratory and then as GC for a New York-based startup lab providing COVID testing to patients on a national level via advanced software technology.  Prior to that, he was a Partner in the Healthcare department of a mid-sized NYC law firm with a deep focus in the Skilled Nursing Facility industry.

Stu has worked with Management Services Organizations, medical billing companies, health tech companies, telemedicine providers, and SaaS companies, among others in the healthcare universe. Stu specializes in working on behalf of healthcare companies in resolving Accounts Receivables issues to assure continuity of payment and reimbursement from all payer sources.

Stu counsels a host of healthcare providers and business owners throughout the U.S. regarding their day-to-day management as well as the myriad legal or regulatory issues that arise on an ad hoc basis. In doing so, he helps clients navigate the various federal, state, and other applicable laws/regulations which abound in the space– guiding them through the complexities and ever-changing healthcare landscape to the most efficient intersection of their business goals and what compliance standards dictate. Armed with a litigation background, he has handled a diverse array of proceedings and maintains an aggressive and creative approach in utilizing a broad range of legal methodologies to obtain relief for his clients. Stu’s diverse legal career has made him a well-rounded and polished advocate with a keen sense of how best to lead his clients in optimizing business objectives and mitigating risk across all their healthcare operations.
